FAQs
Questions we get before the first call.
Straight answers. If yours isn’t here, the shortest path is still a real human on the phone.

01
What exactly is an "agent"?
A piece of custom software, built for your restaurant, with AI doing some of the heavy lifting. It might live on a tablet in the walk-in. It might text you when inventory dips below par. It might draft a prep list on the line at 6am. Not a chatbot — software.

02
How is this different from ChatGPT or Lovable?
Those are tools for people who want to build software or apps themselves. Mise is an agency. You describe what you need — plain english, a phone call, a voice memo — and our team hand-builds it. You don’t touch a prompt or a keyboard.

03
How much does this cost?
We’ll work within your budget to bring your project to life. Every engagement is priced against the scope, and we quote before we start — so there are no surprises. A single focused agent usually runs less than a year of most SaaS seats.
-
04
How fast can you actually ship?
First versions usually land in days — sometimes in under 48 hours. Bigger systems (a from-scratch POS, an inventory overhaul) take longer, but we show you working pieces the whole way, not a gantt chart.

05
Who owns the software?
You do. We host it, monitor it, and maintain it — but the code is yours. Not a seat license. Not a shared tenant. Walk away any time with everything you paid for.
-
06
What happens if something breaks during service?
We monitor everything. If an agent misbehaves, we get paged before you do. Service is the last place we’d fail you.
-
07
Can you replace our POS or inventory system?
We can. We’ve built POS, KDS, reservations, inventory, and loyalty from scratch — as alternatives to Toast, Clover, Square, Resy. Or we plug new agents into whatever stack you already run. Whichever makes sense for you.

08
What about our data?
It stays yours. Every agent we build for you runs against your own isolated database — independent from every other restaurant we work with. Nothing you tell us gets reused for the shop next door. This is truly your software.
Didn’t see yours?
Ask a real human. We pick up the phone. We write back.
